How to create a dashboard with Power BI?

Creating a dashboard in Power BI goes beyond just formatting data; it's about adding value to the information. Today, as businesses continuously seek higher performance, they are compelled to leverage their entire database. Indeed, these databases allow visualizing the health of the company, revealing what works and what needs further improvement. Data analysis, therefore, is crucial and must be stored, presented, and shared to ensure the company's sustainability.

Why choose Power BI?

Power BI is a tool offered by Microsoft. Its purpose is to provide a visual report of data to serve as a performance indicator for the company. Thanks to various data preparation models, Power BI makes it easier for you to read and securely share your data.

The main advantage of this tool is its adaptability. You can integrate any type of format into the software's database. Power BI will directly prepare, clean, and format your data. How to transform your data?

First of all, start by logging into the Power BI platform.

Once on the homepage, click on "Import files."

Next, click on "Local File" and then select the file from your computer.

Choose the document containing the data you want to convert into a dashboard.

Once the file is transferred to the platform, a new window will appear at the top right of your screen.

Click on "Quick Insights."

From there, your data will be displayed in a dashboard.

By clicking on the top right of each tile, you can select the charts you like and pin them to a new dashboard using the "Pin" tool.

Microsoft offers three other formats of its Power BI software that allow you to have an optimal process for using and managing your data.

Power BI Desktop: A free software that allows you to directly produce your data tables and centralize them into one tool. You can also transform them into interactive dashboards.
